Director’s Dispatches: – Ghouls, Lights, and Noble Delights
What a fantastic week it’s been! With the vibrant energy of Halloween behind us and Diwali just around the corner, our homes have been buzzing with joy and laughter. This week was a powerful reminder of two of our guiding values: Connection and Contribution.
Spooky Celebrations & Noble Connections
Yesterday, Gloucester House transformed into a Halloween wonderland, with residents and staff from all our homes coming together for the festivities. The creativity on display—from vampires to superheroes—was a true celebration of Connection. More than just a party, it was an opportunity to bond, form new friendships, and strengthen familiar ones. Seeing everyone laughing, dancing, and enjoying each other’s company was a reminder of how essential these moments of togetherness are for all of us. Our connections are what make us stronger and bring that extra warmth into each home.
Looking Ahead to Diwali with a Spirit of Contribution
As we move from Halloween to Diwali, we’re reminded of our value of Contribution. While there have not been official Diwali preparations in all the homes this year, the upcoming weekend still presents a wonderful opportunity for all of us to bring light, warmth, and joy into our community in our own small ways. Whether it’s sharing a kind word, enjoying a meal together, or just lending a listening ear, these small acts are what make a difference. Diwali’s spirit lives in the thoughtfulness we share daily—making sure every individual feels valued and supported.
Happy Halloween & Diwali,
