Today’s election results mark a significant moment for our care community. With the Labour Party’s victory, they have said that we will see increased attention, recognition and resources directed towards social care and the vital work that you do.
While we await concrete actions, the Labour Party has highlighted plans to improve funding, working conditions, and support for care workers. These potential changes could provide more resources and improved training, and enhanced job security.
While we cannot directly influence government policy I am especially proud of how our staff supported service users in exercising their democratic right to vote. It was wonderful to see you helping our residents get out and participate at their local polling centres in this important process. Your efforts ensured that every voice was heard and that everyone had the opportunity to contribute to our collective future.
Your dedication remains the cornerstone of our success, and we are optimistic about the opportunities ahead. Let’s stay informed and hopeful as we navigate this new chapter together.
