Resident’s and staff at Gloucester House have welcomed the Mayor of Evesham, Fred Kalor to their Macmillan coffee morning held last Friday 25th September.
He took delight participating in the full range of activities offered – ranging from a raffle to a sponsored short back and sides haircut. Local businesses supported the event by donating cakes and prizes for the event which successfully raised £133 for cancer research.
Part of Midlands care specialist NobleCare, the newly refurbished facility was commended by visitors for being beautifully updated and for performing a valuable function in the community
Tracy Jenkins, home manager said “We are a home for people with learning disabilities and believe in fully participating in local community activities. The residents have helped organise this coffee morning and they think it is wonderful that the mayor chose to spend the full morning with us in their newly refurbished home”.
